Jennie Shaw is a COAPE-qualified Behaviourist and Trainer, a member of CABTi, and a signatory of the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter. With decades of experience working with animals and a particular passion for helping dogs and their owners build strong, positive relationships, Jennie combines practical training with a compassionate, evidence-based approach.
From Pet Gundog and Life Skills training to behavioural support, Jennie is dedicated to helping every dog reach their potential. As Head Trainer at EDF, she is excited to support owners through every stage of their dog's journey and create training experiences that are enjoyable, effective and rewarding for both dogs and humans.

Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey has taken me from growing up surrounded by dogs, horses and cats, to managing a stables in the UAE, and eventually into the world of canine behaviour and training.
My professional path was inspired by one of my own dogs, Honey, whose behavioural challenges led me to seek the support of a qualified behaviourist. Seeing the difference that expert guidance made sparked a passion for understanding behaviour and helping other owners navigate similar challenges. That experience ultimately led me to qualify as a Behaviourist and Trainer and dedicate my career to supporting dogs and their families.
Over the years, I have worked in training centres, run my own behaviour consultancy, collaborated with veterinary professionals, and trained assistance dog partnerships through Darwin Dogs. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of dogs, owners and behavioural needs, always with a focus on practical, kind and effective training.
At home, I share my life with Eadie, a spirited Potcake from St Lucia, and Bilbo, a Lagotto Romagnolo with a remarkable story of his own. Both continue to remind me that every dog is an individual and that successful training starts with understanding the dog in front of you.
I am passionate about continuing professional development and am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. Most of all, I love helping owners build confidence, strengthen their bond with their dogs, and enjoy life together.
